The wannabe matchmakers said he should contact 28-year-old Cheryl on the social network. Olly ? whose hits include Please Don't Let Me Go and Heart Skips A Beat ? finally gave in and wrote: "Sod it I'll tweet you all ahaha xx."
Spotting the message, Cheryl responded: "@ollyofficial sod it ill tweet you back lol. Hope your good babe xx."
Essex lad Olly then tweeted: "Haha sod it CherylCole I'll ask for your number then #cantblameaguyfortrying #worthashot lol haha x."

Unfortunately for him, the Geordie beauty is yet to reply.Olly first met Cheryl in 2009 when he was a contestant on the show and Cheryl was a judge.
He has previously gushed: "I'm not going to lie ? she is unbelievable.

He is currently in talks over a new deal to return as a presenter of spin-off The Xtra Factor.
