Description

BLDD Architects, an established and respected 80 year old architectural firm with specialized expertise in Higher Education, PreK-12 Education, Healthcare, Senior Living, Recreation, and Religious Facility projects, is seeking a Business Development professional to serve in its Chicago office.? One of five firm locations, the Chicago office is a fast-paced, creative environment, where we need a highly motivated individual to develop relationships with prospective clients that lead to new business opportunities, complementing our firm?s full service architecture and interior design practice.??

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

  • A thorough understanding of selling professional services with the ability to evaluate business issues and solutions and convert them to value propositions.
  • Confidence to positively represent the firm to the client.
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing strategies.
  • Strong investigative/research skills and ability to join information from a variety of sources and develop solutions.
  • Ability to develop relationships and collaborate effectively in developing responses to pursuits.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Assertiveness, high energy, independent.
  • Good judgment and integrity.

Responsibilities:

  • Researches and pursues business development opportunities within territory and markets.
  • Building new relationships and develop new client opportunities which complement firms service offerings.
  • Coordination and implementation of client introductions with firm-wide experts.
  • Manage relationships with active prospects and advance client relationships prior to release of RFQ/RFP.
  • Take part in analysis of competitor strategies, identify and monitor changing patterns of competition and recommend response.
  • Involvement in the development of proposal strategies, marshaling resources, researching relevant company experiences and client information.
  • Attendance at pre-proposal conferences, professional meetings or other marketing-related events.
  • Attend trade shows on behalf of firm to present information regarding company services.

Candidates should have a Bachelor?s degree in marketing and/or related field.? Minimum 5 years of experience in direct client interface and Business Development.?
