Bank of America adds mobile check deposit to Android app

The Bank of America Android app now includes the long-awaited Mobile Check Deposit feature. Announced last week for the iPhone, Mobile Check Deposit can add funds to an account without a customer needing to visit a bank. The app takes photos of the front and back of a check, and then securely sends the images to Bank of America. The deposit is made the following day after verification. The latest update also adds the option to receive alerts as push notifications and the ability to send money to another U.S.-based bank account using a mobile phone or email address.
